Federal Minister of Science and Technology Visits CIIT |
| Mir Changez Khan Jamali, Minister of Science and Technology, visited COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (Islamabad Campus) on 20th April 2011. He took charge as Minister of Science and Technology in February 2011 with the aim of making best use of science and technology for accelerated growth of country. Rector CIIT, Dr. Syed Muhammad Junaid Zaidi (S.I.) welcomed the honorable minister on his arrival at CIIT. Dr. Zaidi briefed him about the historical perspective, achievements and future vision of CIIT in a meeting. Various CIIT officials were also present in this meeting which was held at the conference room of the library. Before this meeting, the honorable minister took a round of the lush green campus and saw computer and engineering labs and library. He specially appreciated the library, its beautiful architecture, environment and services. Raja Muhammad Ibrahim, Senior Librarian briefed the honorable minister about resources, services and facilities being offered by the library for students and faculty members during his visit to the library. |
